yarraville community centre

Yarraville Community Centre was established 32 years ago when the local primary school relocated to a new building. In 2000 YCC amalgamated with Blackwood St Neighbourhood House officially recognising the established working relationship between the two organisations. YCC provides a focal point in the community and is a place where people from all cultural and linguistic backgrounds can participate in a wide range of programs and activities and in learning useful skills.

The Centre is continually evolving to meet the changing needs of our community. The centre has evolved over this time into a vibrant community and provides a diverse range of educational, disability, recreational and arts based programs in response to identified community need, occasional childcare, playgroups, meeting rooms, studio rooms for visual artists, access to and training in on-line services and multimedia computers, access to office equipment such as a photocopier, scanner and fax.

There are many support and user groups, childcare and playgroups, as well as a huge range of courses available to enrol in.
