Yarraville CC & Anglis NH Produce Postcards

Participants from both the Yarraville Community Centre and Angliss Neighbourhood House were given the opportunity to design a postcard that encapsulates and celebrates the rich diversity of the City of Maribyrnong. The designs judged the most appropriate were then printed commercially and distributed as a free, collectable postcard available at recreational venues, libraries, community agencies and the various café’s and restaurants located within the city of Maribyrnong. Participants from both centres were invited and encouraged to submit images (in any medium) for consideration.

Images are to represent the unexpected experience within the City of Maribyrnong. Selection was decided by a judging panel consisting of a representative from the City of Maribyrnong Council, an art practioner and a community representative. The image chosen was photographed, reproduced in postcard format and with a limited print run of 1000 and then distributed. This project was funded through the City of Maribyrnong Community and Cultural Grants and the Angliss Neighbourhood House and Yarraville Community Centre.
